From Gaza to Ferguson in NYC: Photo Essay

More than a thousand protesters marched on the Brooklyn Bridge to City Hall on Wednesday, August 20. Then, we joined forces in the East Village (which happens to be my neighborhood) with protesters in support of Ferguson. We marched from Houston to Union Square. Barricades were pushed in the street to block the cops from following us. There were about 300 people marching. Finally, some people taking the streets of this once poor neighborhood, now gentrified and over-run with yuppies.

7 miles, 3 arrests and 5 hours later, we finished with a speak-out in Union Square.
