Photo Essay: Maryhouse at 3AM

Walking the halls of Maryhouse at 3AM. Maryhouse is one of two Catholic Worker houses located in the East Village, a borough of Manhattan.  Each house has a different mission, going about the work of social justice in its own way, suited to its local region. The Catholic Worker Movement was founded by Dorothy Day and Peter Maurin in 1933 and had begun as a newspaper which still sells at 1 cent per issue today.
